Office hours: Thursday 14:00p.m. to 15:30 p.m.
I’ve been teaching in China for the past four years, and I enjoy Sanya because of the beautiful weather. I like teaching at Sanya University because of the cross-cultural exchanges that I have with students and my colleagues.
I received a Master’s Degree in English from Virginia Commonwealth University and a B.A. in English Literature from Saint Paul’s College, where I was the valedictorian. In addition, I am TESL certified.
I have many years’ experience teaching college level courses in the United States and China. Presently, I teach writing and oral English at 三亚学院. Before moving to Sanya, I lived in Xi’an and taught writing and oral English to graduate students of various majors at西安交通大学. In the U.S., I taught College Composition at Southside Virginia Community College.
Hobbies and Interests:
I enjoy reading, playing golf, learning to play the ukulele, walking on the beach, swimming and snorkeling, traveling, meeting new people, challenging myself with Chinese language, and experiencing new cultures.
While I’ve attempted to learn numerous foreign languages, such as Latin, Russian, Norwegian, Spanish and French, aside from English, I am only fluent in Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and Montenegrin, and semi-fluent in Chinese.
