The English Double Degree Program is a program that focuses on fundamental English language capabilities and its practical use. It stresses the acquisition and application of language skills, and is suitable for students who want to improve their competitiveness in the job market, and broaden their career options. The program utilizes the School of Foreign Languages’ advantage to train practical English users with a wide range of knowledge and willingness to innovate.    

Goal

This program aims to cultivate the students’ sound mind and practical English skills, which includes: a firm grasp of fundamentals; proficiency in the listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation of English, cross-cultural communication, including the knowledge of international etiquettes in behavior and language from a global perspective, potential qualities for working in foreign-oriented tourism and international commerce as managers, translators, secretaries, traders, or similar positions.

Term: 2.5 years

Degree: Bachelor of Arts （Double Degree）

Main Courses

English Communication; English Reading; Spoken English; English Listening and Speaking; English Writing; Appreciation of English Language Literature; Cross-cultural Communication; Introduction to British and American Cultures; Advanced English; Theory and Practice of English Translation; Advanced Interpretation.

(Classes delivered at night and in weekends)

Score and Cost

About 44 points; RMB 400 Yuan per point (paid each semester).

培养目标

本专业培养具备较为扎实的英语语言基础知识，熟练的英语听、说、读、写、译和良好的跨文化交际能力；具有国际视野，国际礼仪、言语礼节等素养；能在管理、翻译、外贸、文秘等岗位从事涉外旅游、涉外文秘、国际商务方面的工作，具备健康人格的应用型英语人才。 

学制与学位

学制：2.5年

学位：文学学士(辅修学士学位)

主要课程

交际英语、英语阅读、英语口语、英语视听说、英语写作、英美文学作品赏析、跨文化交际、英美概况、高级英语、二外法语、英语翻译理论与实践、高级口译。

（晚间和周末授课）

学分及学费:每学分400元（按学期收费）
